Getting around Hvar Town is very simple. You can walk everywhere within the city. From the main square to all of the wonderful beaches. If you want to head out of town there are some helpful resources below.
If you want to leave town and visit other spots on the island then the bus is your best bet.
HERE is a link to the bus schedule. The bus station is just to the left of the main square across from the church, Tip: arrive early, sometimes the buses leave before the scheduled time. You can pay on the bus in cash.
You can get a cab if you have to for some reason, but take it from me, it’s not cheap. You’ll find them around the bus station.
To get out to the islands you can go by boat. There are water taxi’s lined up all over the marina, going to various destinations all day long. Simply look at their signs to grab the one going to the island you want to visit. They will advertise the prices right there, bring cash.
To get to the mainland you’ll take a ferry. From Hvar Town, it’s a catamaran. You leave from the center of town outside of Gariful restaurant and it takes about an hour to get to Split.
You should buy tickets in advance HERE for the Jadrolinija Line.
